Earlier this year, I harvested some cherry burls from trees on the farm. They should be cured by now, and ready for turning. That’s just a sample photo, above. I have some pictures of my own work, below. The large bowl was by master craftsman Maury Claubaugh. We gave him a downed maple tree from our lake house. It had a good amount of spalting and ambrosia coloration. These result from fungal infections in the living tree.
